We are delighted to welcome Steffan Griffths to the Thorman Hunt team, who will focus on our London customers.
Steffan worked for many years at Berry Bros. & Rudd, Lay & Wheeler and for several vintages at English sparkling wine producer Nyetimber.
“I was fortunate enough to be exposed to the world of wine from a very young age – it seemed a natural progression that falling face first into vineyards as a toddler evolved into falling head over heels with the vineyards’ produce as an adult.
After many years working at established wine merchants, I was delighted to join the team at Thorman Hunt at the beginning of 2025. The collection of fantastic growers, with family relationships dating back many many years, makes Thorman Hunt a wonderfully warm place to work with no shortage of wonderful wines.
The stories, the community and of course the flavour of wine have led me to throw myself into the vinous world – I am an engaged member of the Vintners’ Company, a graduate of the Académie du Champagne, and am currently a student on the Master of Wine programme.
When not opening, extolling or enjoying bottles of wine, I can be found following my other passions of comedy and theatre, fine dining and music, as well as trying to perfect my favourite recipes over the stove. I find myself lucky to enjoy almost every style of wine, but there’s little better in the world than a bottle of aged Blanc de Blancs Champagne and absolutely no reason for opening it.” – Steffan
