VINSOBRES
We are delighted to have Chaume-Arnaud in our Southern Rhône portfolio. Vinsobres is the most Northerly of the Crus in the Southern Rhone and one of the highest at 400 to 450 metres. Organic since 1997 and biodynamic since 2003. Vinsobres benefits not only from the Mistral (from the North) but also the ‘Pontias’ which blows from the East, and from the pre-Alps. They own 38 hectares, two of which are in neighbouring St Maurice.
Saint Maurice, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Vinsobres made from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Counoise. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks and there is no oak ageing. A very fine range.
