DOMAINE CORDAILLAT
REUILLY
Now in the hands of Pascal Dethune, this 14-hectare estate was founded in 1995 makes 55% white, 25% red and 20% rosé (from Pinot Gris).
The terroir here is clay limestone on south facing slopes for all three cuvées. Just the press wine is used and the wines are vinified and aged in stainless steel with regular lees stirring.
The Reuilly Rouge Tradition is made from Pinot Noir. The grapes are sorted in the vineyard during the harvest and undergoes a cold maceration pre-fermentation. Lovely to drink young, with its bright, ripe, crunchy fruit, it can be kept up to 5 years.
