DOMAINE ANDRÉ COLONGE
LANCIÉ
André Colonge is a 30-hectare domaine run by two brothers, Landry and Samuel, and their father Serge (who is now semi-retired). It was originally started by Andre’s grandfather. 7 of their hectares are in Fleurie and 18 are Beaujolais / Beaujolais Villages. Their Beaujolais Villages is on granitic, sandy soils more similar to the terroir of Fleurie. The Beaujolais Villages vines are around 40-50 years old as are their vines in Fleurie.
We were introduced to this charming Domaine by the late André Dezat and they have gone from strength to strength overs the generations. Landry has moved into his grandparents house and this is where their old cellars are located and where the wines are matured in a variety of concrete tanks. Just like we found them some 40 years ago!
