CHÂTEAU CAP DE MOURLIN
SAINT ÉMILION
The Capdemourlins have owned property and made wine in St Émilion since the 16th Century. This property is 14 hectares on the northern slopes of Saint Émilion. The soil is largely clay-limestone and sand.
The blend is 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak, 50% of which is new. The 2005 is drinking beautifully now and at the perfect stage of maturity.
