FAMILLE J M CAZES
PAUILLAC AND SAINT ESTEPHE
The third wine of Château Lynch Bages, Pauillac de Lynch Bages, was first created in 2009 and is made entirely from the fruit of the property. The wine comes from the younger vines and is a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. It is a wonderful introduction to the property and while clearly Pauillac, the young fruit character gives a
forward, supple style that delivers delicious early drinking.
The Saint Estèphe is produced from the younger fruit of Château Les Ormes de Pez. The blend is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Again, the young fruit delivers a forward, silky style for immediate pleasure but the classic Saint Estèphe structure is also clearly
on show.
