Jérome Bertrand and his wife Sabine run an immaculate small winery and are blessed with some superb vineyard sites.
Cuvée Origines is a blend of 60% Carignan and 40% Grenache from 30-year-old vines.
Cuvée Mégalithes is mainly old vine Carignan (some over 90 years old) from a particular parcel of vines.
No wood is used in the ageing and it has a delightfully silky, liquorice and red fruit character. It’s amazing to travel up into the hills and see their very old Carignan bush vines like gnarled fists pushing up through the earth !
This is a top Domaine producing some of the very best wines of this appellation.
