Rully
Hélène Jaeger-Defaix took over plots of Rully 1er Blanc belonging to her great-aunt, Henriette Niepce. Hélène, an agronomist and oenologist by training, works with her husband Didier Defaix (winemaker at Domaine Bernard Defaix in Chablis).
Henri Niepce, her great-grandfather, is one of the great figures of Rully. He had worked enormously hard in the 30s and 40s to help Rully obtain the controlled designation of origin, then to establish the notoriety of the very young AOC.
