DOMAINE ERIC BOIGELOT

The Boigelot family have been cultivating vines since 1918. Eric learned his craft at Coche-Dury before founding his own 3.5h Domaine in Monthélie where his family had land for generations.

Today Eric and his wife Patricia tend to 9h Meursault, Monthélie, Volnay, and Pommard and have relocated the winery to Meursault in 1998. Eric is now joined by his son, who followed in his father’s footsteps by having a stage Coche-Dury, and in addition Paul Pillot.

The arrival of Charles for the 2022 vintage will have been an opportunity for the latter to express himself on his style of wine without distorting Eric’s style of recent years.

The Pinot Noir vinifications are carried out with native yeasts, monitoring the fermentation with some does of SO2. A passage of 12 months in oak barrels, then 6 months in mass in vats, a slight filtration is carried out before bottling.

They feel for the chardonnay that working with the lees is important to allow each terroir to express itself. From the beginning of the alcoholic fermentation until the end of malolactic fermentation the wines will not experience any input. Aging for 12 months in oak barrels then 3 months in vats. A gentle filtration is carried out before bottling.

Eric’s sustainable viticulture with Charles organic philosophy has elevated the Domaine to produce beautiful grapes.
