SAUTERNES
A most magnificent, historic, 27-hectare estate producing some of the richest, most luscious wines in Sauternes. The vines average 40 years old and the soil is sandy limestone and gravel. The blend comprises 70% Sémillon, 27% Sauvignon Blanc and 3% Muscadelle. Fermentation is in barriques (30% of which are new) and then the wine is kept in barrel for 14-18 months before bottling. Château de Malle is a real favourite.
